The towns of Wick and Thurso are excellent centres for shopping and there are a number of places of interest to visit.  Each town has a museum - Thurso shows the past in the form of folk museum while the one in Wick features the fishing industry.  During the season gala weeks, folk festivals, highland games, country and village shows are held and visitors can visit a number of craft works.  Caithness boast some excellent golf courses for the enthusiast.

fisherThe remote nature of Braehour means you will have access to as much "outdoor" activities as you would like.  You can fish for trout, salmon, rainbows on nearby rivers and lochs.  The nearby port of Scrabster also has a number of boats which can be chartered for Sea Angling where you can catch pollock, cod, ling, mackerel, rass, and coalfish to name a few!

There is a nearby horseriding centre in Halkirk, plenty of locations for birdwatching, walking, climbing, surfing, sailing and most other activities!  If you have a specific hobby and would like to know if there's something nearby, please do not hesitate to contact us and we'll see what we can find out for you!
